“Shibari is not just about tying; it is about connecting, listening and flowing with yourself and with others.”
Who We Are
We are Kinkoi, a non-profit sociocultural association based in Granada, dedicated to promoting the practice, knowledge and enjoyment of Shibari in a safe and consensual way. Our mission is to introduce shibari to as many people as possible, embracing it in all its forms and styles.
Born some years ago, we have gone through different stages and through the hands of many people who have left their mark — some are still here, others have moved on. We began in the La Chana neighbourhood and in early 2024 we moved to Zaidín, where we renovated with our own hands the space that is now our refuge.
Although we are based in Granada, we are happy to welcome people who travel from Almería, Málaga, Jaén and Córdoba to share the space with us.

A Safe and Inclusive Space
We promote well-being and diversity through safe and consensual practices.

LGTBIQ+ Friendly
We celebrate sexual, affective and gender diversity. Everyone is welcome to explore and be themselves without prejudice.

Kink Positive
We embrace sexuality and Shibari from a place of mutual respect, clear communication and free consent.

Body Positive
We believe all bodies are valid and beautiful. We build a safe environment free from aesthetic pressure.
Participation and Self-Management
As a self-managed non-profit association, we exist thanks to the involvement of our members.
Collaborative Management
Kinkoi is open to any member who wishes to get actively involved. There are many different roles to keep our refuge alive and healthy, from welcoming newcomers to maintenance and organisation. Every contribution counts.
Ways to Get Involved
- Volunteer Work: Get involved in the day-to-day running of the space and assistance at events.
- Working Groups: Join or form specialised groups to carry out specific initiatives and improvements.
- New Collaborations: We are always open to fresh ideas, artistic proposals and educational projects.
